FearlessRiOT’s Top 20 Songs of the Week! [October 23, 2015]

Alessia Cara is staying right where she is; in a way, you can say that she’s stay here. OK, that was a very cheesy reference to her song “Here”, which is #1 for a second week in a row; I couldn’t help myself. Anyway, The R&B jam remains in the top spot while recent Latina magazine cover girls Fifth Harmony also remain put at #2 with “I’m In Love With A Monster”. Taylor Swift makes her grand return to the Top 3 with “Wildest Dreams” while recently confirmed CMA Award performers and Girl Meets World guest stars Maddie & Tae‘s “Fly” falls to #4 on the week where the song officially becomes the longest-running song in the history of the Top 20 Countdown with 29 weeks to it’s name. How much longer can the song survive? We’ll have to wait and see. Rounding out the Top 5 is Janet Jackson and J. Cole with “No Sleeep”; while this is J. Cole’s 2nd Top 5 song (after “Cooked Smile” peaked at #2 in 2013), this is R&B icon Janet’s first time in the Top 5.

Elsewhere on the countdown, Bring Me The Horizon cracks the Top 10 for the first time with “Throne”. Also, Florence + The Machine’s “Ship to Wreck” has the highest jump of the week, moving up five spots to #11. As for countdown debuts, we have two of them: Drake‘s “Hotline Bling” (yes, the song with the music video everyone has been meme-ing up and down) and Chris Cornell‘s “Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart”.

[Celebrity Birthdays This Week: actor Zac Efron (10/18), R&B singer Ne-Yo (10/18), rock n’ roll legend Chuck Berry (10/18), snowboarder Lindsey Vonn (10/18), actress Freida Pinto (10/18), former SHIMMER Wrestling Champion – and Paige’s mum – “Sweet” Saraya Knight (10/19), American Idol star Jessica Meuse (10/19), rap legend Snoop Dogg (10/20), model Candice Swanepoel (10/20), singer Jess Glynne (10/20), rapper A$AP Ferg (10/20), pro wrestler Finlay (10/20), rock singer Tom Petty (10/20), WWE Hall of Famer, Scott Hall (10/20), pro wrestler Chavo Guerrero (10/20), reality star Kim Kardashian (10/21), model – I think – Amber Rose (10/21), TV star Judge Judy (10/21), rapper Shaggy (10/22), Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson (10/22), Hanson’s Zac Hanson (10/22), actor Ryan Reynolds (10/23), comedy-music legend Weird Al Yankovic (10/23), actress and wise teen Amandla Stenberg (10/23), R&B singer Miguel (10/23), country star Dwight Yoakam (10/23), WWE NXT Diva Carmella (10/23), TV host Cat Deeley (10/23), rapper/singer Drake (10/24), The Real co-host and singer Adrienne Bailon (10/24), The 100 star Eliza Taylor (10/24), R&B singer Monica (10/24), and 90210 & Degrassi star Shenae Grimes (10/24).]
