FearlessRiOT’s Top 20 Songs of the Week! [1/15/16]

Between the deaths of rock icon David Bowie and beloved actor Alan Rickman, it has been a rough week in show business; I just wanted to start this edition of the Top 20 Countdown with an R.I.P. to both men and a “Thank You” for their influence in their respective fields. As for this week’s Top 20 Countdown, it looks like a good day for Dove Cameron; not only is today her 20th birthday, but the Disney Channel star notches her very first #1 song as a part of The Girl and The Dreamcatcher with “Written in the Stars”; this sends Drake‘s “Hotline Bling” to the #2 spot after a couple of weeks on top. Meanwhile, “Here” from Alessia Cara looks poised to do what “Fly” by Maddie & Tae did last year by hanging around the Top 20 as long as it can because on it’s 21st week, it sits still at #3. Rounding out the Top 5 are Pop Evil with “Footsteps (Go Higher)” and Adele with “Hello”. (Speaking of Adele, I hope you all  have seen this by now; Nicki Minaj has.) Elsewhere on the countdown, Lauren Alaina rebounds back into the Top 10 after the music video for “Next Boyfriend” premiered this past Tuesday while Selena Gomez cracks the Top 10. Fall Out Boy & Demi Lovato have the biggest mover, JoJo has the biggest dropper, and we have three countdown debuts from TinasheMaddie & Tae, and Taylor Swift.
