FearlessRiOT’s Top 20 Songs of the Week! [May 20th, 2016]

The past six weeks has seen the #1 spot swapped back and forth between two girl groups from two different countries as well as two different genres. And this week, the young girls in BABYMETAL come out on top over Fifth Harmony; “Karate” has dethroned 5H’s “Work From Home” and nabbed the #1 spot for a third time. Fifth Harmony, who will perform on the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday and drop their new album 7/27 next Friday, slip to #3 while MMVA and BET Awards nominee Alessia Cara sits still at #2 with “Wild Things”. Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter retain their #4 and #5 positions with “New Romantics” and “Smoke and Fire”. Rounding out the Top 10 are Ariana Grande at #6 with “Dangerous Woman”, the first single from her now-available third album of the same name, Disturbed climbing to #7 with “The Sound of Silence”, BET Award nominee Adele dropping to #8 with “When We Were Young”, another pair of BET Award nominees in Rihanna & Drake‘s “Work” drifting further down the Top 10 at #9, and Lukas Graham cracking the Top 10 with “7 Years”.

Biggest Mover: Disturbed “The Sound of Silence”, Drake “One Dance”, Red Hot Chili Peppers “Dark Necessities” (Up 3 Spots Each).
Biggest Dropper: Lacey Sturm
“Impossible” (Down 4 Spots).
Countdown Return: The Girl and The Dreamcatcher “Glowing in the Dark”
