FearlessRiOT’s Top 20 Songs of the Week! [July 22nd, 2016]

We’re obviously still stuck in the 90s, because once again, Garbage and Red Hot Chili Peppers are the Top 20 on the Top 20 Countdown. This time, however, they’ve swapped positions. Red Hot Chili Peppers notch their first #1 song with “Dark Necessities” while Garbage slips to #2 are two weeks on top. Drake is still hanging in there as “One Dance” lands at #3 while Justin Timberlake‘s “Can’t Stop the Feeling” rises to #4 and In This Moment rounds out the Top 5. Fifth Harmony are on the countdown three times this week, including appearing in the Top 10 twice with “Write On Me” (#6) and “Work from Home” (#9). Adele rises to #7 with “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” and Sofia Carson‘s “Love is The Name” (#8) and Disturbed‘s “The Sound of Silence” (#10) round out the Top 10. This is also a history-making week on the Top 20 in two ways; first off, on a week where BABYMETAL crushed it on the Alternative Press Music Awards with Judas Preist’s Rob Halford, their song “Karate” becomes the first non-English song to make the Top 20 Countdown’s 20-Week Club. Second off, one of three countdown debuts this week is the first-ever all-instrumental song to ever chart; that’s one more bragging right that WWE has earned.

Biggest Mover: Fifth Harmony “Write On Me” (Up 4 Spots).
Biggest Dropper: Sofia Carson
“Love Is The Name”, Disturbed “The Sound of Silence” (Down 3 Spots)
Countdown Debut: Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalia, Imagine Dragons, Ty Dolla $ign, Logic, & X Ambassadors “Sucker For Pain”, CFO$ “The Rising Sun (Shinsuke Nakamura), Fifth Harmony featuring Fetty Wap “All in My Hed (Flex)”
Other Notes: “Karate” by BABYMETAL joins the 20-Week Club.
