FearlessRiOT’s Top 20 Songs of the Week! (September 3, 2016)

The last time Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa made it to #1 on the Top 2o Countdown was in 2011 with “6 Foot, 7 Foot” and “Black and Yellow” respectively. Ty Dolla $ign‘s first time making it to #1 was alongside Fifth Harmony earlier this year with the VMA-winning “Work from Home”. Meanwhile, Logic, X Ambassadors, and Imagine Dragons had never previously had a #1 song on this countdown. Until now. “Sucker from Pain”, the Suicide Squad anthem from the six aforementioned hip-hop and alternative rock artists, have overtaken “My Church” from five-time CMA Awards nominee Maren Morris to become the #1 song of the week. Morris doesn’t fall too hard though, only slipping to #2. Adele also falls to #3 with “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” while Sia and Sean Paul fall to #4 with “Cheap Thrills” and Fifth Harmony fall to #5 with “Write on Me”. Rounding out the Top 10 are “The Rising Sun (Shinsuke Nakamura)” from CFO$ and Lee England Jr. (#6), “H.O.L.Y.” from Florida Georgia Line (#7), “Empty” from Garbage (#8), “Into You” from Ariana Grande (#9), and “Road Less Traveled” from Lauren Alaina.
