FearlessRiOT Top 20 Music Countdown [May 12, 2017]

“Misery Business” (4 Weeks in 2008), “That’s What You Get” (2 Weeks in 2008), “Decode” (4 Weeks in 2009), “Ignorance” (2 Weeks in 2009), “The Only Exception” (1 Week in 2010), “Monster” (1 Week in 2011), “Now” (2 Weeks in 2013), “Ain’t It Fun” (1 Week in 2014). These songs gave Hayley and the boys the record for the most #1 songs by a band/group on the Top 20 Countdown with 8 total (and second most overall behind Rihanna‘s current 10 and Taylor Swift‘s current 17). As of this week, that tally rises to 9 as “Hard Times” has taken the #1 spot and kept Paramore’s record going. Kendrick Lamar takes a fall to #2 with “HUMBLE.” while Sabrina Carpenter, who celebrated her 18th birthday this past week, cracks the Top 3 with “Thumbs”. Could it become her second #1 song following “The Middle of Starting Over” and “We’ll Be the Stars”? Also rising up the chart is Gorillaz, who’s Popcaan collaboration “Saturnz Barz” returns to the Top 5 at #4. Meanwhile, Bruno Mars remains placed at #5 with “That’s What I Like”. Rounding out the Top 10 are “Stay” by Zedd & Alessia Cara (#6), “Invisible” by Christina Grimmie (#7), “The Fighter” by Keith Urban & Carrie Underwood (#8), “Paradise” by S.E.S. (#9), and “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran (#10). Making debuts this week are Maren Morris and DJ Khaled featuring Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Quavo, & Lil Wayne.
